    If you do undertake any further communication whatsoever with this idiot landlord I suggest your position is this: "due to the lack of a dual-signed inventory at the start of my tenancy any damage you attempt to claim from me, bar the replacement coir mat which I have already agreed to pay for the replacement of, will be denied and contested via the deposit-scheme's arbitrators".

    Then do not enter into any further discussion.
