Hi, hope this is the right thread, but just got married and want to change my passport details. There are several different web sites under passports when I google it, what is the official one for the UK where I can find out info & get forms to change my name?
Thanks

The one with gov.uk domain is the official one, so try https://www.gov.uk/browse/abroad/passports or your post office will have the forms too.

Just in case you're not aware, they don't change your name anymore, you have to apply and pay for a new 10yr passport and will lose the years left on your old one.
It used to be that they just amended your existing passport, but they make far more money this way

You can't just change your name on a passport. You'll need to buy a new one. It's easier to change it when it expires. Just make sure any bookings you make are in your maiden name until you get a new one."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I just got a new passport after getting married.
You can pick up a from the post office, and it costs £72.50. The IPS need to see an original marriage certificate, too.
I got 9 months credit on top of the usual 10 years on the new one, as there were still a couple of years left on my old passport. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0 -
