B&Q Out of Stock

For the last week I have been trying to purchase an outdoor dining set from B&Q. I know it's spring so many people are doing the same thing, but on at least three different occasions we have made a reservation, got a confirmation email, then the next day had a telephone call from the store telling us it's actually out of stock.
Apparently their ordering system is 24 hours behind the store.
However one of the dining sets we liked was available to order online. So I ordered it, have been charged. The email said they would call within 24 hours to arrange delivery.
Nearly 14 days later, after being on hold for 10 minutes, I get through to someone who says it's actually.... you guessed it... out of stock.
They are refunding me but where do I stand on this legally? Can I demand the goods or those of a higher quality?
I understand it has been a lot warmer recently so they would have got loads of business but I don't really want a refund, I want the actual goods.
Any advice on my next move? Or should I just give up and brand them a rubbish company?

Why waste time and energy on this, you got your money back, so just leave it, its not worth the stressing over.
Best thing you can do is take your business elsewhere (a competitor) .
If you really want to make a point just write a letter of complaint to the companies HQ.0 -
B&Q can't give you what they don't have.
