Broken iPhone

Hi

Just after a bit of advice.

I purchased a replica drinking cup off a website called Abbey Horn last week. You can find it on there by searching for PCB. It won't let me post a link for some reason.

I decided to use this when I went to bed last night for water. Upon waking this morning the it had leaked and completely soaked my iPhone - which will now not work.

Is there anything that I could do for this?

You're extremely unlikely to have any claim against the supplier or manufacturer - other than getting a remedy for the cup itself (repair, replace, refund). Consequential loss cases can be very difficult to undertake - they could argue you shouldn't have left your electronic device near a liquid container.
  • That's what I feared.

    Thanks for the reply.

Home insurance - accidental damage clause?
  • I checked on that first. I am covered, however there is a £300 excess, so I could probably buy another phone for the same price unfortunately.
