Bank Of Ireland UK - phone number

Has anyone got a geographical or freephone number for Bank Of Ireland UK savings? Saynoto0870 doesn't have one - the only numbers on there are for totally different departments e.g. mortgage and they're the sort of grumpy people who won't transfer you if you play dumb and pretend you were given the wrong number - I tried! The only numbers I can find anywhere on their site are 0845.

Is it a particular branch you need or just a general UK number?

    EDIT:

Remind me to read the OP first next time!!

    Try 01582 434800 ??

You could also try dialling 0333 5432111, and then the 08 number you wish to call.

There's an eye-phone app for that too, and probably an android one.

It's called weq4u. There's one for 0800 ones as well (they otherwise cost from mobiles) called 0800 Wizard. Both work.

About my account - they seem to think it's still open with money in it but I have confirmation that it was closed and everything withdrawn, and haven't heard from them in the last five years so not sure why they've suddenly written to me now.
If they say you have an account with money in it, why don't you want to talk to them. And, in due course, withdraw the money they seem to suggest you have in there.
