I've had a bit of a !!!!!! day today, had to miss out on something because of my weight. Not the end of the world but went on a bit of a downer about it and ended up eating myself happy this afternoon with chocolate. (Well.....not eating myself literally but you know what I mean. lol.)

As soon as I'd done it, I was disgusted with myself and vowed I wasn't going to buy any more crap for the cupboard.

OH has just come back.....with 2 big bars of the cadbury jelly bean chocolate to cheer me up. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. :rotfl:

Can you ask him to keep iit somewhere for you and give you an agreed amount a couple of times a week?

How sweet he thought of something to cheer you up though. :T

I had to go google Lotus spread as I'd not heard of it and came across this.

I used to love Cadbury's chocolate raisins but they betrayed me with a new recipe with !!!!! raisins :(

Nothing beats dairy milk, it's responsible for a good few of my bmi points I'm sure lol

Now here's a sentence guaranteed to cause controversy:
I put my bars in the fridge as I like my chocolate cold...

Depends on the chocolate. If it's, say, twix or ferrero rocher then yes, because when it's cold it's easier to eat them in layers (biscuit then caramel for twix, chocolate coating then split the ferrero rocher in half and eat the nut, then the rest. Yes, I'm weird).

You know those individually wrapped small, caramelly, buttery, spicy biscuits that you sometimes get with a coffee? Well it's those, but in spread form. You can get smooth or crunchy versions and it's like Nutella on crack (except it's not nutty or chocolately) :) I'm sure you're supposed to do stuff with it but I've not got beyond the jar and spoon stage yet ...

I love those biscuits (you can buy packs of them in supermarkets, you don't have to waste time with the coffee), I'll have to look out for the spread. Although what are you supposed to spread it on? It sounds minging with bread.

At the moment revels are my downfall. Even though I only really like the toffee and coffee ones, and hate the orange ones. I think I'd rather just buy coffee creams, but the only ones I know of are in Thorntons and cost a bomb.

I'm off ice cream at the mo though, after munching a whole tub of Waitrose ginger a couple of weeks ago I don't trust myself with it. Next time I just need milk and bread I'll go further afield to somewhere with less temptation!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

    Oh my
This is my new favorite chocolate bar.
    Its a real taste sensation.
    Such a fantastic eat.
1st place a piece of bar in mouth and half chew it up, allow to melt in mouth feel jelly pieces in mouth and slightly chew, swallow jelly pieces and allow popping candy to do its thing for 30-45 seconds.
Its very disappointing if there is no jelly in the chunk.
    Delish

If you're a fan of sweet toast (like nutella) then it is quite good on crunchy toast (no butter). But like I said, it's hard to get past the jar and spoon stage. Although I have been looking for recipes and I've seen one for rice crispie treats with it in, and they looked tasty.

And oh god, Revels. I got through the best part of a bag of those whilst watching the new Star Trek on Tuesday. They are the food of the Gods. I wish they'd get rid of the raisin ones though, all that fruit makes me think they might even be healthy :)

Cadbury have introduced 'Marvellous Creations' chocolate bars to their line up.

Why? Isn't there enough chocolate in this world already?

Don't they know this is akin to peddaling drugs to a drug addict?!

Yes indeedy, something else that's bad for me that I'm hooked on. :o (I have never ever taken drugs in my life btw so don't take that comment the wrong way. :rotfl:)

I'm particularly fond of the 'jelly popping candy shells' version, it's like something that would have come from Willie Wonka. :D

Surprisingly (but reassuringly) daughter doesn't care for it. Such a shame, that means I need to eat it all by myself.

I think I'm going to opt for the 'eat so much of it that you make yourself sick' route. I think that might put me off it quicker than 'all things in moderation' route.

*sigh* I wish I wasn't ruled by my mouth and my stomach.

Which manufacturer/product is the bane of your life?

Thanks a lot for starting this thread....you are definitely off my christmas card list. I read this thread when you originally posted, and I'd never even seen the cadburys marvellous creations. In asda this morning, I glanced at the bars as I wondered along the chocolate aisle and thought it would be good to at least try the product in question. I added a large bar of the marvellous creations cookie nut crunch to my trolley, brought it home, and lets just say that it never made it to the cupboard. I have now waved goodbye to the idea of being able to wear a bikini this summer!

Did your Asda only have the cookie one? I thought I might help myself to another of the popping candy ones yesterday but they only had the cookies version.

Edit : We're talking large size bar here

No, they had the popping candy one too...so glad I only picked up the large cookie one otherwise I imagine they'd both be gone now! Hope you manage to get hold of another popping candy bar soon ;)

    Me too.

I bought both versions, both in large bar size. Really, really wish I hadn't now. They are so damned addictive.

    Grrrrrrr.... ;)
