Melamine furniture

I have a fitted wardrobe with "white" melamine doors and I'd like to paint them white if poss but can't risk them looking a mess as I couldn't replace them. It's not a gloss melamine, more a satin finish.

So do you think it's possible to get a good and lasting finish, do you have any tips or product recommendations, OR should I not chance it ?

Thanks :T

my thinking is that melamine furniture is not correct for home you must buy wooden furniture today's modern sofa are better than melamine and their stuff is so soft

?????????? I had to read this 4 times just and I'm still not sure what you mean?

OP, I did this in a house we bought. The fitted wardrobes had really nasty moulding all around them so I lifted this off using a small pry bar, filled the pin holes and any damage with UV cure car body filler. I then sanded the filler down and used a wipe on melamine primer. After that I painted them with the gloss paint that matched the wall colour. All in all a relatively easy weekends work.

I should also add, when you sand down the filler use fine paper like wet and dry to give the same smooth appearance as the melamine
