Dishwashers - VarioDrawer feature (cutlery drawer on top level)

I am researching dishwashers for my new kitchen & notice that some models have a cutlery drawer at the top, as apposed to the removable cutlery basket on the bottom level.

How user friendly is the VarioDrawer? In terms of stacking cutlery etc.

My old dishwasher had the conventional basket on the bottom level, easy to load & empty. Remove the basket & take to the cutlery drawer to unload.

Its a great concept but BSH haven't quite perfected the cleaning performance of the VarioDrawer.

If you wanted a dishwasher with the cutlery drawer, suggest you look at Miele. They are fantastic.

I second what Ryder72 has said and would like to add that it has many advantages over the traditional cutlery basket. The main ones are it cleans the cutlery better and its far safer.

I also find it far quicker and easier to unload than a normal cutlery basket.

Miele if you can stretch your budget is the one to go for.
