I have bad credit from when I was a bit younger ( missed payments for mobile phone contract and a store card) but I've payed them off and my credit score is still low. I'm in full time employment and want too get a loan for a deposit for a home to rent is there any company's that provide loans for bad credit?

Note: I won't be able to find a homeowner guarantor

Thanks!!!

What exactly is on your credit report? Missed payments, defaults etc last 6 years on your record.

Your credit score is meaningless ~ all lenders have their own criteria.

Why don't you open a savings account with a Credit Union, then in a few months approach them for a loan?

You should be able to see how much the amount you were looking to borrow would cost you in repayments per month and put that money into a savings account for a few months. If you can't afford to do that, then you can't afford the repayments on a loan.

A good thing too - why wreck someone else's good credit history as well as yours if you end up unable to pay.

What exactly is wrong with it in your eyes then? I am stating a fact - perhaps you should get off your high horse and consider reality rather than the cloud cuckoo land that you appear to live in. You will also note that I said if he can't pay.

If the OP takes a normal loan and can't pay he wrecks his credit history.

If he takes a guaranteed loan and can't pay, not only does he wreck his credit history but his guarantors as well - why should an innocent party suffer

Maybe could have been worded more politely but he has a point.

Looks perfectly reasonable to me. If the OP wanted hugs and cuddles, then the DFW board would have been a better place for him - here responses are more realistic.
  • May I strongly suggest that you think before your post when you refer to being in the 'real world' and consider that the person you are talking to works 50~60 hours/week to get a new business off the ground, has kids and cares for a cancer sufferer.

I strongly suggest that you also consider to post only what you would say in person.

I do - I would quite happily tell you to your face that I think you are talking a load of rubbish.

The fact is that all you have added to this thread is your whining about people being rude. Do you have any valuable advice for the OP?

The OP mentioned the fact that he couldn't get a guarantor in an open forum - therefore it is open for anyone to comment on. Hopefully he will now consider the implications of what could happen if he was able to get a guarantor.

You wouldn't finish the sentence :)
