What is the illness?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

In which case, yes there is but not likely to be the mainstream but a specialist insurer.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). There is only 1 company I would suggest "may" be able to offer terms and that is Partnership Assurance, however, they only accept business via a broker so you will have to seek one out.
Also, the terms they offer may simply be unacceptable to you. I once had a client who had also had a heart attack and suffered with peripheral vascular disease, although they had not required an amputations. The terms offered approximately 30x the standard premiums offered by mainstream companies. They only offered a maximum of a 5-yr term to that client also.
It actually worked out that he would have paid around 25% of the sum assured over those 5-years!!
Depending on your age, it may be one of those circumstances when an over 50's plan is actually offering reasonable value for money if you would tolerate the initial exclusion period for death from natural causes.0 -
Thanks for your help much appreciated I'll give them a ring, could you tell where they are based
thanks0 -
I can't remember where they are based off the top of my head and as I say, they will tell you too seek advice anyway as they cannot transact business with you directly.
You'd be as well seeking out a protection specialist or IFA as this is your only route to them0 -
Partnership were the one I was thinking of as well. However, they dont transact direct to public. They transact via IFAs.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
