The usual question - good home for +/- available cash

Hello, i came to MSE over a year ago, and thanks to it and the forums was able to increase and nearly maximise the yield on cash or reasonably readily available money like in savings accounts of which I have several each stashing away typically £250 monthly.
But the main cash of tens of £K is with Coventry BS which I discovered thanks to this forum and its members.
Its good rate that was 5.85% recently however includes the 1st year bonus of 0.85% so I knew I would as a proper MSE-er have to reconsider after a year which is up now. I thought therefore it would reduce to 5%, but looking at their site I see that that applies only to less than £10K as there is a tiered rate, and that after all it still should give around 5.52% which is not too bad.
I take the view that for a 0.1% difference it is usually not worth the hassle of switching money around if it involves opening new accounts, if it is 0.5% or more of interest advantage then yes. Also that you must compare like with like, e.g. if the rate is higher but there is a low total max. amount like AL's £2.5K, or very much unavailability at fairly short notice they are not comparable and I already have some of those.
A year ago I was on the ball with everything that was going and could help or argue with other people but it absorbed time and I stopped following and now ask advice again.
