Halifax PPI Offer

Hi I wondering if anyone could give me some help. I was mis-sold PPI with my 2 Halifax credit cards from 2004. I done all the paperwork and eventually got the Financial services involved. To cut a long story short I received a cheque in February 2013 for £2,916.08. I am still waiting on the full breakdown, I have not cashed the cheque.
I telephone the Halifax various times to ask for a breakdown, recently I received a letter dated 30th January 2013 with the following:

Calculations
Refund of premiums £1,842.00
Refund of interest applied to account because of the ppi £1,054.77
Interest at 8% until 27 February 2013 £19.31

I am going to send them a recorded a letter asking for a full breakdown, as I do not know how much PPI I was charged.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The breakdown you received shows you paid £1842 in premiums (or least £1842 of premiums that there is a record off - credit card data does tend to get destroyed over time)

Thanks for the info. I'm writing to them as I would like to know exactly what I have been paying per card. They did not send me a full break down

I think you are wasting your time.

How will knowing exactly how much you paid on each card help with your complaint?

It'll still total £1842.00 regardless of which card had the largest balance.

You won't get any more than they have records of unless you can provide documentation from your own archive which shows you paid more.
