Hi, am looking at a new job,am so unhappy at the moment.
The thing is, it's more hours but less per hour than what I'm on now,and i need to be careful!
Any idea how much CTC i would get?
20 hours a week, £8.50 an hour.
thanks

Are you a single parent? If so and you're over 25 then you might get working tax credits too as you only need to work 16 hours for that.
CTC for 20 hours on £8.50 an hour would not make any difference - you'd still get full award based on that. But obviously less in wages. Your net wages would be £167.31 after national insurance is deducted per week. Does this help you work out it any easier?0 -
thank you.
i am single yes.
so i'd need to take off tax and i'd need to sort out a new pension too from that £167.31.
mmmm,unhappy but paying the bills it's going to be i think!LIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
You would not be paying any tax on that amount as it is under the weekly personal allowance of £181.53 - so only a pension to worry about.0
