    Right, quick update - all done earlier today - but in true MS style, the default for OS drive encryption is TPM only (no extra pw required - just log on with usual user name/pw) and adding a pre-boot PIN requires enabling the TPM + PIN option in Group Policy settings and then some messing about with admin-level command prompts to set said PIN :rotfl:

    Non-OS fixed data drives straightforward though (as in click encrypt, create a pw, backup recovery keys and done)

    Edit: OS drive encryption out of the box is straightforward too to be fair, it's just adding a pre-boot PIN that makes it slightly more hassle...
