MBNA PPI claim

Hi
I recieved a letter at the end of last month saying that I had been identified that I had ppi on a credit card from 2007 and I could have been missold ppi insurance I filled int the forms to be honnest i disnt know i paid ppi on the cards and for what balance had been on the was small amount, and returned, I recieved a letter last week with two account numbers on asking them to call them for security questions that needed to be answered i gave them a call one card had £347 another £429 which suprised me, I then got a txt message Friday asking me to call them as they had further question, I called this morning a few questions asked how much was my basic salary at the time and how long would I have had sick pay from my employer, which was 12 month full pay hence didn't need ppi, how long I had work there for, and was there any other income into the house yes my partner.

Is there more chance the ppi wil be paid if they contact the customer rather then me complaining to them.

I recall at the time I applied on line for the cards and I recall a follow up phone call for security question but not opting for any ppi insurance as the company's I worked for tend to give decent sick pay cover.

You'll have to wait and see. Contacting the customer is norm if they have identified a misselling period, or if they want to start a time bar on complaints all together.

PPI claim up held, had a letter sent today offering £611 for one of my claims "result" am still waiting for another response. Good news considering they wrote to me to say I had payment protection on a card I knew nothing about.
