Anyone know what the make and model is, as I'd like one but i don't know if it will compatable with the new SKy wifi router

Silver Crest is just a generic Lidl branding for it's electronics. The actual manufacturer's will be different from batch to batch.
It should be compatible with any ADSL modem/router.
You could get a proper budget brand for less than that:

What problem do you have that a wireless repeater is intended to solve?

I would like to use my laptop in the garden at present its only at 1 bar or less and oftern drops. Putting a repeater in the conservatory might solve that problem.

The repeater will only work if it can receive a good enough signal in the conservatory, of course! Check the signal strength where you are intending to plug in in the repeater using your laptop (see how many 'bars' the signal shows, or get a better idea from installing and running inSSIDer).

I would reconsider the brand, i have had problems with cheap repeaters causing dropout and connection issues. I would buy a trusted product instead:
