I welcome any thoughts on Home Insurance with either M&S or LV=
I am presently insured with M&S but LV= are 30% cheaper for what appears the same cover.
Any advice on 'after sales' or 'after claim' service would be welcome.

M&S Car is via BISL
As the OP is asking about Home then the insurer is Axa.
Which? rate both fairly highly in the Home space0
