I am trying to compare through the comparison sites to get elderly MiLs bills down.

She is currently with Eon on Warm Assist which does not appear on the drop down menus. I have phoned Eon, they were most unhelpful, told me it was also known as ice2, that's not on the drop downs either. A further call (with endless waiting) and I am told I could try staywarm as that's similar I feel like giving up, the woman I spoke to was so evasive!!! Can anyone please shed any light on this? Where do I go from here?

Warm Assist is a social tariff and so does not appear on comp sites, because it's not available to all customers.
Just enter any current tariff, it doesn't matter, The point is to get the comparative data. You already know what your MIL is paying on her current tariff, from her bills and annual statement.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I am on warm assist with Eon and there is no tariff in existence that is cheaper than that.

At least I can't find one.

£73.47 SC for electricity and £73.47 SC for gas per year and 10.238p for electricity and 3.167p for gas. inc vat

    from 3rd June
Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:

    Hi Clairabella

I'm really sorry you've been given such poor advice when you've contacted us.

Warm Assist was restricted to certain groups of vulnerable customers who met specific requirements like age or were in receipt of particular benefits.

As such, it didn't appear on any of the comparison sites.

It was withdrawn from sale quite a time ago. However, customers already on the tariff could remain on it. Customers switching away from this tariff, though, could not go back on to it if they changed their mind at a later date.

Staywarm was a different tariff that's also no longer available. ICE 2 is an internal reference that wouldn't mean a thing to anyone outside of E.ON.

Again, I'm sorry the info you were given was so poor and confusing. Hope I've made things a little clearer. Give me a shout if you need any more details as will be happy to help.
