Cahoot Loan

Hi all, I had a Loan back in 2004 for 3 years. I was told as this was my 1st loan i should take out PPI, i was only a young 20 yr old at the time and thought nothing of it.
With all this PPI stuff everywhere i came here to get the templates and i have had success with Tesco PPI (loan from 3 years ago)
But the problem with the Cahoot one is when i ask Cahoot for the info (i dont have anything other than whats on my credit file) they say the loan has been passed to Santander, when i speak to them they advise they have no record of this but it maybe in archives and to send in a letter.
So again from this website i got the letter and enclosed a cheque, they replied saying "sorry no record of this loan"
I'm now at a dead end i cant believe nobody anywhere has a record of it?
I have googled it but cannot find a result anywhere with the added complication of the loan being transferred to another company?
Does anybody have any suggestions at all?
Also just FYI I don't have any record of it as i have been married since then, and divorced and all my personnel documents etc where lets just say binned by the X
Thanks for any suggestions posted..

So you sent a SAR and there is no record of it?
If you did send a SAR and thgere's nothing left, your complaint is over. It was sold to you pre-regulation [Jan 2005] so Sanatander would probably refuse it anyway.
Without details, there's nothing else you can do I'm afraid.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Yes that's what I sent, the SAR.
Ahh gutting ok.
Thanks for you time
