I'm currently dealing with a Comet Timecard as part of my overall Santander complaint. I had various storecards over the years from different companies, Santander appear to have bought them all.

For any SAR etc, this goes to Santander as they now own them.

As with all Santander card complaints, Santander will not uphold your complaint. However, the insurer (Genworth) has been found to be liable for mis-sell redress. Once you get your refusal from Santander, refer to the FOS. After a few weeks the FOS will write back to you advising that Genworth will hear your complaint and enclose details of what to do. If you have valid reasons, Genworth normally uphold.

The process does take longer and involves a little bit of extra admin, but you should find the process fairly painless.

You don't need to bank with them.

Use the excellent SAR template on the sticky at the top of this forum and adapt it to your needs - enter the Comet Timecard number in place of an account number. If you're not aware of the account number provide them with as much information as you can (for instance the type of card and the store). I normally include a sheet showing my previous addresses and dates that I moved, along with any other data I may have given to them in the past. This will help to identify you.

Did you have any other storecards in the past? If so it's possible Santander have the accounts - if you have any of these account numbers or other details it will save you some time and expense if you decide to make a PPI complaint in the future.
