I have a cassette adapter thingy, that I plug into the mp3 player earphone socket. The other end goes into the car cassette player so I can learn as I drive. You get them out of Maplin and places like that for between £5 and £10

You can get them in Pound Land for.......... 1 pound.

    hmm... intriguing.

    That is a surprise(!) :rotfl:

On a serious note, thanks to budgetflyer, I've now downloaded half the Spanish lessons and will make a start this weekend.

Any posts are my opinion and only that. Please read at your own risk.

Ive bought screwdrivers that bend, an all in 1 remote control that lasted a day, their batteries last about 5 minutes and high Karate aftershave really doesnt send most women wild. Hence I spent a fiver on my "thingy" and its still going, rather than just a pound in poundland:D:D:D

    Re free language courses.
Sounds ideal to help me with my greeklearning.
As a pensioner (and a bit thick with computers) I think i must have missed something. I've downloaded itunes and got the latest podcast but how do i get the previous 50 odd podcasts already issued?

Once you have downloaded one podcast in ITunes, click edit (top toolbar) and choose preferences from that menu. A pop up window will appear and click on the podcasts tab ( I think it is the second one around). You will then be able to select how often you check for new podcasts (I have mine set for each day). The second drop down menu is the one you’re looking for. If you select download all I believe it will attempt to download all the previous podcasts. You will then have to wait a good while whilst it downloads them.

I'm not very experienced myself so someone may wish to correct any mistakes but it seems to have worked for me.

    I hope that helps.

I have had my cassette thingy for ages. I bought one in Wilkos for £8 and it didnt work so I bought one from the pound shop. It has lasted ages..

    hmm... intriguing.
