Hi guys I have had a capital one progress card for over a year I was initially given a £500 credit limit but this has not been increased at all!
I also have a classic visa with cap one this was increased from initial £200 limit to £600 and has stated at that limit since!
What I'm asking is recommendations on how to get the initial limit increased?

With cap1 their is no pattern, infact very random how they do itDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

I'd recommend against having them increased, just from personal experience - I had a very bad time with credit cards and capital one (they are both the devil, so to speak! :rotfl: ).Debt as of Dec 2012: 8900

Debt as of May 2013: 3000

Got my card 4 years ago. They started me at £250. I moaned about 2 years ago and they said no and that's final. Appealed to the 'manual review team' and they raised it to a massive £350. Last month, out of the blue, they decided to raise it to £850!
I've never paid them a penny in interest etc.... don't even use the card a lot. Kept it open for the free equifax reports/id alerts etc. The cynical side of me thinks they've whacked it up because I'm in debt elsewhere and may consider using them and messing up/being charged fees/interest.... hmmmm!
They know I won't just default on £850 as it would wreck my perfect history - and I've got over 10k elsewhere with no problems, plus they know I work in banking - so I can only think it's giving more money to someone they think is struggling or would struggle with it...0
