Hope someone can help me!
Im looking to switch to a fixed rate and using the 'Cheap Energy Club' and uSwitch have both thrown up Scottish Power 'Online Fixed Price Energy August 2014' saving me £175.74 with annual costs at £34.08! Surely this cant be right?
Is there something being hidden from me?
2nd place goes to EDF Blue + Price Promise Feb 2015 with what feels like a more realistic saving of £35 a year.
Do my readings sound right?
Ive entered 84kWh per year Electricity - based on Eon Energy Tracker and 500kWh Gas usage, again based on using the Eon Energy Tracker.
Any guidance would be great but this £34 a year surely isnt right?

Hi Richierobot
Those figures look extremely low!!! I'm sure many reading this could only dream about annual usage like that!!! Best bet here would be to phone your current supplier and ask them for your annual usage over the previous year (have up to date meter readings ready just incase they ask for them)
Once you have these do the comparison again which will throw up a more realistic figure.0 -
If it helps helping me, here are my readings
Electricity Consumption Comparison (% and kWh)
January 10.91
February 10.33
March 9.93
April 5.62
May ive est. 5
June ive est.5
July ive est 5
August ive est 5
September ive est 5
October 4.71
November 7.13
December 7.840 -
Is this property a holiday home or something? You cannot possibly be using that little power and gas! They're more in line with weekly usage, not annual.
Post the actual opening and closing annual meter readings, or check your annual statement. Forget the eon tracker-look at the actuals bills. No free lunch, and no free laptop
