But on the basis of what you have told us, the marker is not incorrect.

OP i am sorry to hear of your business going under it's very tough out there & alot of times no one can be blamed, however whether you like it or not the people that posted the comments you didn't like are perfectly correct, you were out of the country for whatever reason & i assume you knew you would be so you should have paid the final payment before you went, going BR is never easy but to maintain any kind of credit score you need to make sure you do everything correctly to the enith degree, while £20 seems to everyone that it is a crazy amount to be blacklisted for but some companies will do just that regardless of the amount, hopefully you can get it sorted, but you can't tell people on here that they are wrong when they aren't.
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

The OP said that they were being chased for payments that were written off when they went bankrupt. Im not sure why someone would have to pay money owed when it had been written off at the time of bankruptcy.

Exactly it is illegal it is against the law to chase for money that was included in a br

also I made 1 late payment - agreed - thats my fault.

However bgas have added 3 late payment markers on there and 1 for an account that had a nil balance. Therefore it look very bad.

I am wasting my time here it is british gas I need to contact as all the information is on their system they just need to check it and change it.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the OP wants anyone to do. Why didn't you just pay the £60 and be done with it??

Yes that is what I said !!! Too late now though point being that 1 late payment does not justify 4 late payment markers

No they are wrong - my original post says that I made 1 late payment and have had 4 late payment makers put onto my credit file.

Wow - lots of people not listening to the original post. Im new to this forum and I'm having similar trouble with late payment markers and British Gas.

From what you have said its harsh over £20 but you should only have 1 late payment marker not 4. Follow up your complaint and I am sure they will take them off as it sounds like there has been a mistake. 1 late payment marker will not look as bad as 4.

I'll let you know if they take mine off - it was over a final bill also with an incorrect meter reading
