Are you sure your phone is connecting to Wifi and not the mobile phone network?

Yes I'm def on the wifi and when I go to settings - it def shows the hotel wifi ! My data roaming is def OFF !! That's on my iPhone - it's just the iPad that's driving me mad !!

Forget Network:

1. SETTINGS
2. WIFI
3. Tap the blue circle/arrow next to the network name you want to forget - NOTE: This network must of been known about/connected to previously
4. FORGET THIS NETWORK

4a You can also tap on MANAGE THIS NETWORK


Reset Network:

1. SETTINGS
2. GENERAL
3. RESET
4. RESET NETWORK SETTINGS

Or set the wi-fi up temporarily to have no password.

Does it still not connect? If you can't find someone who'll allow you to do that (no password) try connecting to a device which is already connected to the network (eg a mobile phone which has its own hotspot indeed if you can try connecting to an Android device with a hot spot or your iPhone (if it has the facilty to turn it into a hot spot)).

Are we sure we are talking about WiFi passwords here, not the general password for the iPad itself, since the OP says "can't get logged on to iPad" ?
