Raising money through Gift Aid / Covering our costs

Hello,
We're doing the Three Peaks challenge later this year for GOSH and we want to take advantage of Gift Aid to raise more money.
However, as the costs of doing this event are quite high we also need to cover some of our expenditure from our donations.
What is the best way to take advantage of Gift Aid but also have access to draw out some of the money that people have donated?
There doesn't appear to be any way of making drawings via Gift Aid, it all goes straight to Charity. Equally, I can't get everyone to pay us and put it through ourselves as the limit is £25 per person.
Any suggestions would be fantastic.
Thank You

If I was donating to a charity I would not be expecting any of my money to be covering a participants expenses. If you want to enter something, then enter it at your own expense and give all your sponsorship to the charity.
Just exactly what are you giving apart from your time and effort.
Sorry if you don't like my reply, but something smells bad when my donation is used to fund a participants costs.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
I agree with 27col you need to do separate fund raising to pay for the expenses and be clear that is what the fund raising is for, can you get corporate sponsorship to pay for expenses?0

The gift aid can only be claimed by the charity on its income or donations. Info is on hmrc website0

sorry guys but if you're not prepared to cover the expenses yourself then don't do the challenge.
In fact I think to 'take' some of the donations to pay for your expenses may be illegal2014 Target;
