cheap city break??

Options
Hi everyone, first time posting a thread so bear with me please! Im looking to take my girlfriend away for 3 nights starting on 29th November which is her birthday. Im just looking to know what the best sites are for finding a good cheap deal? I would prefer somewhere like Paris or Rome but wherever i look is really expensive. Any help will be greatly appreciated. :-)

Have you thought of Krakow (Poland)? It will be cold in November but it's very cheap to eat/drink there, and it's a beautiful (and romantic) city. Direct flights from most UK airports via Ryanair and check out Trivago for hotel deals.
If you want somewhere warmer, Palma is nice and not too expensive to get there - again plenty of cheap flights at that time of the year.
    Normal people worry me.

If you want to do Paris or Rome then it will cost you a pretty penny, and it doesn't get cheaper once you are there.

If you are looking at keeping the cost down then look at UK cities or the likes of Prague.
  • Hi

Thanks for the replies  one more question, should i book a package deal or my flights and hotel seperately? Im a true amateur at this lol

I've been to Rome & Venice with BA using the flight+hotel
Option on their website and it was pretty cheap. You could probably find something on there especially in November.

Amsterdam quite easy/reasonable price to get to from most UK airports. Canal/dinner cruise one evening good fun.

If you're near London Eurostar may be cheaper to Paris than flying, and a whole lot easier.

For a city break, I always find booking the flight and hotel separately works out cheaper.
For beach destinations, sometimes a package is better - but you won't have much choice on a package in November.
    Normal people worry me.
  • Hey again all...........thanks for your input. I would be flying from Belfast if that means anything? Seems to be harder to sort out flights from here in the wee north haha

I did the BA package with hotel in March to Lisbon and it was very reasonably priced. Their summer peak prices are a lot higher but November should be fine.
