Hi,
We've just treated ourselves to a camcorder, but are now experiencing problems burning onto a dvd. Its a camcorder with a hard disk so need to be able to put it onto dvd obviously.
I didnt realise (thick...sorry) that not all computers can burn a dvd, so have now found mine doesnt
I have a TSSTcorp CDRWDVD TS-H492C, now I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but can I buy something to improve this?..or do I have to buy something else.
Apologies again, but i havent a clue what to do next.
If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it...obviously the cheaper the better.
Many thanks.

You need to purchase a DVD Re Writer to be able to produce Dvd's,
http://svp.co.uk/products-list.php?cid=86 there are a few available quite reasonably here, This should fit into a spare slot in your pc case or could be a straight swap for the one you have now. hth, AlanEvery day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0 -
Thank you Alan for being so quick for your reply and being so helpful.
Just one more thing..if I purchase one of these are they easy enough for me to install?
Thanks once again0 -
You can do it easily.
In Simple Language here are the steps.
Take off both sides of your case. Normally there are screws on the back of the case. Sometimes they can be hidden by a removable panel on the front though.
Find your cd drive, it is held in place by 4 screws normally.
Remove those screws, pull the 2-3 connectors out of the back of the cd drive.
Insert DVD drive, plugging in wires exactly where they were on cd drive, if its a thin one with a black or white connector that came from the cd drive doesn't fit in the dvd drive then dont' worry, its just the audio for cds, XP doesn't even need it.
Replace the screws.
Replace the side panels of the case
