I hate making crumble so when I do it, I make a HUGE batch. I then keep it in a bag in the freezer for use whenever we fancy a crumble.
Exactly what I use to do when before me and my husband separated.
If you want a really nice crumble try a chocolate and pear crumble  lush and think I need to make one very soon and eat it all myself :rotfl:

I don't think that the ones you buy in the supermarkets are made on the day...0

It took me ages to discover I could make crumble topping in the food processor. Miraculous discovery though, saved my poor hands from all that hand-crumbling of the butter and flour. Just a case of chucking butter, flour, and some of the oats in and pulsing until bread-crumb-y. I save back some oats to stir in after, so they don't get ground up.0

Well i ended up prepping all my veg for lunch last night and making the crumble fresh midday... It went down very well, with request for some more midweek.

Go for the oats and flour combo. Dont rub the fat in, melt it in the micro, mix it with the sugar and add the oats/flour mix. Stir with a knife to split the lumps.0

I'm making a crumble for my Gran tomorrow and taking it over. Should I make it, cook it then reheat or make it to cooking point then transport it and cook it there?

I do a crumble for family. I tend to part-cook the apples beforehand and put the 'raw' crumble on top. Take it to family like that and it goes in the oven 30-40 mins or so to cook through. Leftovers have been reheated in the oven the next day with no issue though, still tastes as good! So think you could do it either way0

I think I would cook it there, but it'd be fine either way as krlyr said.Opinion on everything, knowledge of nothing.0
