Penicuik £500 Voucher scam

If anyone receives a call from Penicuik/Weatherseal/St Andrews (who are all owned by the same company) offering them, as a previous customer, a £500 voucher towards future work be extremely sceptical. I received this offer last Saturday and since I intended having my front door replaced anyway said I would be interested in a quote. I had a call from a salesman 10 minutes later and he arranged an appointment for that day. Two more calls followed to check the type of door required etc. Forty five minutes after the appointed time I received a call from 'a manager' to say the salesman was delayed and could we arrange another time. I declined and mentioned the £500 voucher, he replied that this applied only to 4 windows, I couldn't use it for a door and their cheapest door was £1100. I was extremely annoyed and vowed to have no further dealings with these companies. The following Friday I received a call from them again asking if they could arrange another appointment. I refused and told him why, he then apologised, said the manager who told me the £500 could only be applied to 4 windows was incorrect, assured me I would get this discount plus a further discount for my inconvenience and I would be very happy with the price. He also said someone from their trade division St Andrews would call instead of Penicuik. I agreed to an appointment and today a salesman called - not from St Andrews as promised but from Weatherseal. He had been told nothing about my previous experience, promises of discounts etc. I chose the most basic door which was actually classed as a back door and he quoted £1700!! I declined, told him about the promised discount and he reduced the price to £1000, which I also declined. He asked how much I would be prepared to pay and I said £600, he said would I go to £800 and I said no. He then said he wasn't sure if he could do it for £600 and would have to call his manager. He called and explained the situation and then asked me to speak to the manager who told me their cheapest door was £1200 and refused to apply the £500 voucher or any other discount. I will never deal with any company in this group again, they are dishonest and their organisation is shambolic.
