Gas Hob Ignition Not Working!

Can anyone advise me, before I call an engineer out. The gas hob at the local hall (which I work for) electrice ignition has stopped working. My boss had a look at it and looked in the manual which says its a wired into the mains (ie. not battery). He has tried all the trouble shooting in the manual, but it still doesn't work. Is this fixable, or is it one of those things and we will have to use matches or a separate lighter from now on!

Thanks

Sarah:D

have you checked that all the platesabove the burners are sat correctly.when i washed mine i didnt line them up correctly(hole over the ignitor plate) so the thing kept clicking but it wouldnt light.as soon as they were placed correctly ,it lit straight away.sorry for the technical terms(lol)

Just had a similar problem - there can be two fuses, not just the visible one (located on the wall). The other one at fault on ours was located behind the oven - oven section had to be pulled out to get access to it. If in doubt though, I'd call in a specialist.
