Last minute summer deals?

Watcha,

A change in plans means I'm looking for a week in the sun over the summer holiday period. Really not too bothered where, so thought about a last minute thing would be the best value.

Are last minute deals still the thing to go for value wise or is it best to start looking around now? Not sure of current moneysaver thinking on this subject...

I read through Martins guide and wonder if I'll save that much mroe by waiting until maybe a week or 2 in advance? Or should I start looking in a month or 2.

It'd the 1st week of August I'm after if thats relevant?

Any advice would be appreciated

E.M.

I am in the same boat and I am not willing to pay the outrougous prices to go away just because it's the school hols, so I am going to wait for about a week or so before I want to leave to get a deal and if I don't then it's camping again
