In 2007 he had a small loan and signed up to the PPI under the usual 'we got you in a room and you are desperate for the cash so sign here and we will give it to you' method which would be £12.90 a month.
However as he is self employed I explained they would not pay out if he was to be out of work and that he should cancel it, which he did after 1 months payment.
Loan was paid off within a year, end of the matter.
Other half had a letter from natwest about 5 weeks ago asking if he wanted to make a claim against PPI mis selling so he completed the form Stating the above.
Today he got an offer of £216 :T thank you very much. Not bad for £12.90 6 years ago.
My advice no matter how small or how long ago your payments were make a claim.
