Acclaim flea spray unused- manufactured nov 2011- would it be ok to use?

I bought acclaim while back but never used and I wonder what it's shelf life is as doesnt say anywhere. I figured that once I've in ally bought new place I could spray the place to kill any possible fleas but not sure if still ok, I couldn't find helpline. Anyone know?

    It'll last longer than that in the bottle. A lot longer. It lasts a year out of it.

    Surely the only thing that is likely to happen is that it is less effective? I can't believe it is going to be toxic after that time. The other thing is that the aerosol could have corroded if it has been somewhere damp.
    I am sure we are (generally) far too caught up on this sell by/ best before date business.
    Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

    There's no suggestion (that I can find) of a 'use by' date on the tin.

    The only issue I've had in the past after using part of a tin was the aerosol de-pressuring, or whatever the technical term is. There was still liquid in the tin, but the spray didn't work.
  • shake well before use to get the chemicals and aerosol active again, some people think a 10 second shake will do the trick as i have learned if it has settled well in the can and not been used for a while it takes a really good long shake for the tin to expell all its contents properly.

    i cant see a problem, they have batch number to identify it to a production line and day date of production incase of a bad batch.
