What’s the deal?

The Telegraph is running an offer to get 2for1 meals plus 2for1 Gordons gin and tonic, at over 500 gastropubs nationwide (see the list here).

How to grab the offer (at minimum cost)

First you need to collect one of the special forms which will appear in the Telegraph (70p) everyday until Sunday 3 June.

Then you need to collect four differently number tokens, which will again be in the paper until 3 June.

Yet there’s no need to buy the paper to get the extra coupons. One coupon a day is available online between 4-9pm via its online newspaper, TelegraphPM. You can collect any combination of coupons as long as they are numbered differently.

Where can I use my vouchers?

Finally, book your meal, quoting the Telegraph offer, and one person will eat free.

Check what's available in your area first. The only "GastroPub" in my area is Varsity.

Direct link to "search for local gastropub" page : http://telegraph.waidev2.com/gastro_pub/

From my big city perspective, not too many London pubs in the offer - and many that are in the offer are only open Mon-Fri. The Prince in Brixton is a nice food pub and in there though, plus it does evening meals at the weekend....

Can anyone tell me where the online vouchers are? Looking through TelegraphPM and can't see anything! Thanks

It says they are available 4-9?
  • Website is back up and running fine now.

Seems like some pesky Russian types were trying it on : http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/05/22/telegraph_ddos/

Not quite sure what the Telegraph did to deserve such temporary slight inconvenience...

Will pop back at 4pm for my voucher :)

When I visit the site, I just get a map of the UK, no list of places where you can make use of this offer.

I can find the list of places in my area by clicking on my area and then selecting the county. It is a bit fiddly, but you do end up with a local list in the end. There's also a postcode search on the right hand side and when I use this I get a map showing the pubs in my area and I can then click to view the list.

I tried the telegraphPM.co.uk site yesterday in the early evening and I couldn't work out how to download the voucher. It just seemed to be a sponsored search site.

If that doesn't work, you can get one from the printed paper (today/thurs/Fri), still a good saving, especially if you can find a copy rather than buying it! You need the form which is only in the printed version anyway.
    Not even wrong
