Tiny little racing bike brakes don't work going down a steep hill at well above the posted speed limit.

Learnt that one when I was 14, still got the scars.
Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?

I think it's OK to wear it, but just don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone is looking at us because we're cool/attractive. They're just wondering where the rest of the power rangers are. ;)

Hells no...when I'm wearing it I'm praying that nobody's looking!

Has anyone ever lost their licence for such an offence?
    That just wouldn't be cricket.

    Sort of...
I think the offence would be classed as 'drunk in charge of..' and as my Mum used to be in court a lot as a Probation Officer I do remember her telling me about someone being prosecuted for drunk in charge of a rowing boat. It does therefore follow that you could easily be drunk in charge of a bicycle.

Indeed you can be, but you can't lose a driving licence for such an offence (or any other cycling offence).
