Tiny little racing bike brakes don't work going down a steep hill at well above the posted speed limit.
Learnt that one when I was 14, still got the scars.Yes it's overwhelming, but what else can we do?

But they are really comfortable to cycle in. I have not found anything else thats as nice to cycle in as this sort of stuff.
I think it's OK to wear it, but just don't make the mistake of thinking that everyone is looking at us because we're cool/attractive. They're just wondering where the rest of the power rangers are.

Has anyone ever lost their licence for such an offence?

I think the offence would be classed as 'drunk in charge of..' and as my Mum used to be in court a lot as a Probation Officer I do remember her telling me about someone being prosecuted for drunk in charge of a rowing boat. It does therefore follow that you could easily be drunk in charge of a bicycle.0 -

Indeed you can be, but you can't lose a driving licence for such an offence (or any other cycling offence).It's only numbers.0 -
