Direct Line: What a cheek LOL!!!

We had our car insured for 10 years with Direct Line (from 2000 to 2010,) and it was always quite competitive, (around £30 to £33 for the two of us,) and in 2011, it went up to £56!!! So we asked if they could give us a better offer, and they basically said 'no: tough titties!'

So we moved to a high street insurer who did it for £30!

THIS year, this same insurer reduced it to £26, and what did we get through the door this morning??? A NEW insurance offer from Direct Line asking/BEGGING us to come back to them, saying they could offer us insurance of £39.50!

For a start, our new insurance company STILL out-did them, PLUS, we wouldn't have left if they had not bumped our insurance up from £33 to almost £60!!!

Damn cheek, they can shove it!

Ha ha what a bunch of morons! Serves them right. If I were you, I would respond to the letter and especially if it's from any kind of Claims Manager or something, and tell them NO, and say why... Tell them that it's disgusting that they refused to reduce your insurance, and then a year later, dropped it by virtually 50% to try and get you to go back to them!
