Having read all your posts, this has suddenly caused me to hit the panic button. I filled out a question following a Facebook advertisement, and, like many of you, Ive had a phone call from a mobile number. She asked if they can come for an interview, and a man in a Mercedes came to my door. I made him a cuppa, he was charming and we got down to talking about the college. He told me I could still be an Electrician even though I am colour blind (these are the first people to tell me so) and told me how much money I could earn and all the oppportunities that could open up to me. So we eventually started talking about money. He quoted me £4k (roughly) for the first part of the course that I could pay weekly with no interest. Tradecareeruk.co.uk is a website not to be trusted and I thank you for enlightening me. Many Thanks :T
P.S has anyone got a job for a 25 yo male0 -
So ... I read the thread .... my story is not with Tradecarrer.co.uk ... but something like train4jobs.co.uk .... Guy's name was Jamie , and the rest of the story is just like yours ... how can we stop them ? as this needs to stop ... I believe that people like these need to be brought to justice ... who knows what anyone has to go through for this scam ...
Ps: Not a british citizen , but I want to do good for the country that feeds and shelters me0 -
i filled out a form on FB after seeing a link to these, they called me the following day and booked someone to come out to see me the next morning. the came and went over the details to becoming a gas engineer. everything seemed fine at first, he soon came onto the costs of the course, he said it would be £165 per month. after he left i discussed it with my wife (who was also present when the guy came out) when we added it all up it would have been £7k! he had said that only a few applications make it through but booked another appointment to come back and see me a few day afterwards. in the meantime i called a friend of mine who became a gas engineer through college, i ran all of this past him and he said there was a person on his course who had done this through these and the certification they received were not worth the paper they were printed on, they also paid £7k and then had to restart the whole thing because nobody would employ the!!
This guy came back out to see me, did his pitch and started to leave me with all sorts of dvd's and course work books. i had stop him and said that i was signing up right away and wanted to leave it until the new year, his attitude soon changed and he became very rude saying "i wouldnt have wasted my time if i knew you didnt want to start right away" and started to pack all his stuff up. i said that i would be interested in the new year and asked for a business card, he replied he didnt have one, my wife then said can we have your number then and we will call you, he replied with "i only have a personal number and i dont give that out" finally i asked what the company website was or the name of the company, he simply pointed to his bag which have "The training specialists" on it. i then said well how do i get back in touch to go ahead with this and he said just go back on the website. i pointed out that i entered my details through a link on FB so i didnt know the website and he shrugged his shoulders, at this point i just asked him to leave.
looking into this further now, my friend is fully qualified through college level 1, 2 & 3 and it cost him about £3,500!!!
KEEP CLEAR OF THEM!!!0 -

I've joined this forum just to post some information about the company that calls itself New Trades Career (among other names). It's based on some background checks I did on them after a negative experience. These things should immediately set off some alarm bells for you:
1) They seem to have set up a website under the domain trust-reviews.org which has some very good reviews on it and appears somewhere at the top of the Google search results. The website is clearly meant to mimic other review sites like Trust Pilot, but when you look into it you realize it only has reviews for this company on it. These are obviously very deceptive tactics and it's the main thing that made me gain trust in the company when I did my first background check on them. I've attached some screenshots of the website in case it's removed in the future. When asked about the website, they deny all knowledge of it.
2) They go by various different names. During my communications with them they sent emails from the domain "tradescollege.org". Links were sent to the websites "newtradescareer.co.uk" (New Trades Career) and "ntc-college.co.uk" (NTC College). There's also a website under the domain "tradescollege.co.uk" which most likely also belongs to them.
3) They say they have colleges "all around the country", but there is no information on any of the websites about where these colleges are. When I phoned them and asked about the location of the colleges, I was told by the representative that she did not "feel comfortable divulging this information".
4) They expect you to sign up for the course without sending you a contract or any information about the kind of financial commitment you'd be getting into. In my case it was a 48 month commitment at £180 per month. When I asked them to see a contract, they told me this was not possible until after I'd handed over my bank details because "the system didn't allow it".
5) There are some negative reviews of the company on Trust Pilot, however the trust pilot reviews don't seem to appear when you Google the company (at least not anywhere near the top). I also tried to post my own review on Trust Pilot, but my reviews were flagged for "Violating Trust Pilot Guidelines" (No further explanation). If you do a bit of digging into Trust Pilot itself, you'll find that you can't trust them either and that they frequently take down genuine reviews on spurious grounds.

Hi guys,
here is my bit on this.
Contacted by 247 training, same Menage pantano company as in other people’s posts.I have immediately cancelled my contract, next day after finding out about these scammers, received emails from both, training provider and credit company about cancellation, and that my deposit will be paid back - 60£.
I have also contacted FCA, shared the whole story and send all the evidence alongside the links to other forums and negative experiences regarding to this semi-scam.This has to be stopped.I also believe that if the person did actually introduced under fake name they are really in some trouble one way or the other for just the pure fact that they sell you this product without clearly stating the cancellation terms etc.,
will keep you updated if still interested in how these are robbing people.0
