hanging surname in family

I / we as a family are thinking of changing our surname from haywood to Lomax how do we go about this the cheapest way and how long does it take.:money::A

OP, you don't actually need to do deed poll. You just need to tell everyone that you now want to be called Buzzly Lomax. Your expense will be changing things like passports etc. but you can always wait until things expire. I preferred it when I opened the thread, expecting somebody to be saying they'd done family research and were worried an infamous criminal, who had been hanged, seemed to be present in the tree.

I changed my daughters name via deed poll and it cost £50.0

I used a template that I found on the internet then had it signed by a solicitor for £10, totally valid and legal.Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110

I did my DD's myself. Looked online to find a template, wrote it out and got it witnessed by a neighbour. Accepted by the Passport office and the Banks and she has never had a problem. Cost - almost nil.0
