C&G Mortgage PPI Claim - Rejected!!

Options
Hi there, I need some advice please.
I've recently filled out the complaint form from this site and sent it to my mortgage lender C&G, to try and reclaim the PPI which we believe was mis-sold when we applied for our mortgage.

We applied for the mortgage back in 2003 and were told by the sales advisor that if we didn't take out PPI we would be refused the mortgage.

I have now had a reply from C&G stating that they have "reviewed all the evidence available, and can conclude that it was never a requirement to take out PPI" so basically they are saying that the policy was not missold and that there is no complaint to answer.

Question is what do i do now? I didn't expect them to admit misselling after the 1st letter but don't really know what to do next. I'd really appreciate some advice from any of you guys!!

Their "first" letter is their last letter.
If you disagree with their response, then you have to refer your "complaint" to the Financial Ombudsman.

Most MPPI complaints are. It shouldn't surprise you
We applied for the mortgage back in 2003 and were told by the sales advisor that if we didn't take out PPI we would be refused the mortgage.

One of the weakest complaint reasons going as almost certainly you have no evidence to support that allegation and you can bet your life they wont. Without any other failure being identified, you would expect a rejection on that point. Especially with MPPI.
Question is what do i do now?

Supply your evidence to support your allegation. Or refer it to the FOS and expect the FOS to ask you to support your allegation.
