Some file managers (I use ES File Explorer) can be set to see other parts of your network via wifi such as shared folders on a PC. I use mine to access my NAS Drive on my network. My tablets in effect has 2 Terabytes at its disposal!
You can do all the normal file operations, copy, cut paste, delete, rename and so on between the other computer(s) and the Android device.0 -
What is the model?0

Don't know what superbeam is?
The model is momo20, very happy with it.
WIFI is very good, I have not tried accessing it as I worry about different platforms may cause even more problems. I have a file manager on my android, I will explore it further.

I'm using 'wifi transfer' app from Google play - free version has file size limit, 'pro' version doesn't
There's a few similar apps if you search for 'wifi transfer' on Google play?0 -
Oh that 'superbeam', of course I know that one, thanks Basil1234.
Flashg67, many thanks, will give it a try.

Another vote for ES File Explorer, excellent once you have got your mind round how it works.0 -
