Travel Insurance

If I get travel insurance for a coach holiday in Italy, then decide to have a different holiday in Spain instead - for the same dates etc, do I need to take out another policy or will the original suffice?

As long as the policy wasn't special for the coach trip, and generic for a trip to Europe there should be no problem.

The date of departure and trip length should be the same. Check policy docs to be sure (or get confirmed by the insurer)

Thankyou - that's just what I needed to know! It isn't specific for the coach trip and is generic for Europe - but I was just checking, before I cancel the holiday. DH has changed his mind and now would prefer to go elsewhere by air. We will lose the deposit, but at least will still keep the insurance going.

I have to disagree with Quentin. You MUST give the new details of the new trip to the insurer or you will NOT BE COVERED. It doesn't matter that it's the same distance or a trip of an equal value: insurance companies will pull ANYTHING out of their backsides to not pay you. And you going to a different country to what you put on your original form, is a very good reason to not pay up, if you need to claim.
