How the other half live?! I got my plain white job lots for £12 per 6 piece set. I got 3 for breakages and my family size. Tosco btw.

    Am I missing something?

    PS - They're dishwasher safe :D :rotfl:

So gutted. The day I went and parked outside a tesco express because there were no car parking spaces nearby and I parked illegally for a second, I got a parking ticket! So the 10 bottles of Washing up Liquid ended up costing more than 35.00! That will teach me! And it just goes to show, you are never too old to make mistakes.

Your Stanley will be mad...no beer money this week then?:D

Oh my word! Unlucky, WOmble Queen. What I've done in these instances for my own amusement is to send a cheque paying the amount, ASAP, but also put in a letter of protest. YOu therefore pay the fine (so they can't increase it) and then you get them to spend ages, and lots of money, sending you a whole booklet of info including all sorts of photos of your car. It really amused me anyway. :o

PS - What's the washing up liquid? I've missed this as I already have a large stash!

It was the Fairy Original small bottle and it was going through at 32 pence each. Instead of 1.35. I got 10. At the time, it cost me 3.20. But now a whole lot more! Still, if we make mistakes, we must pay for them.

The silly thing is, the traffic warden let me off at the time with a lecture! Then I get a letter saying that the car drove off before the warden managed to get a ticket on it. All very strange. Have emailed them to let them know. But if I pay within 14 days, its 35 quid. If I wait, it will be 70.00 quid and so on. Fingers crossed. Will let you know what happens as always.

Right you lot - I'm due an upgrade and have procrastinated for ages.

Been with Voda 10 years but tempted away now with the massive £150 cashback for 12 month sim plans and get £20 a month for unlimited the lot basically.

I already have an S3 so don't need a phone.

OR do I get the S4? Argh - I'm so torn - what do I do people?!

Get a sim only and wait for the 5g phones where you'll be able to download a movie in 1 second

Tested and confirmed by Samsung but only over a distance of 2km

You'll have to wait till at least 2020 tho :D

[strike]I thought a ticket was unenforceable if not attached to the vehicle

Unless the law has changed then their letter is in fact proof that you were not correctly issued with a ticket and therefore not liable to pay it

I'm sure there will be a thread someone to discuss this. Please don't take this as gospel, but it's certainly how it used to be[/strike]

ETA: seems driving off is no longer an escape clause

We got ours from the Charity shop. Our last one was all but ready for the rubbish tip, so I treated us to a new(ish) dinner set for a fiver just intime for Christmas last year!

Hmm. I shall have to do some digging on this one then AAu. Thanks though. EDIT, Ok then. Well, was worth a throught.

He clearly let me off. Then he goes and books me in my absence. I drove away feeling really good that day, thinking, phew, that was close. What a nice traffic warden? Then he either changes his mind or maybe he'd realised he'd gone too far ahead, in the booking process on his machine thingy.
