OH did national service 15 years ago, he has long since forgotten how to use an iron :(
    Hello Mildred,
Seeing you post that, I remembered that my OH is carp at ironing but did national service 25 years ago in the Netherlands. Ah Ha I thought!
Me: "Did you not learn how to iron in the army?"
    Him "Laundry service."
I suppose I should have known. He had to kill a chicken as part of basic training, but in the Dutch army you did not have to cook them yourselves. Oh No! The chefs came round, collected all the freshly killed and cleaned birds and then gave everyone a choice of how they wanted them cooked, and then served them all dinner!
I am not young enough to know everything.

Great news Logie, those words "no active cancer" must have been music to your ears. So glad you got to enjoy the champagne
Just enjoy the moment for now, you don't have to decide anything today or even tomorrow.

Lutzi, thank you for sharing your family's story too. It must have been a difficult journey at times.

In more trivial news, I got an invite to the Ribena campaign today, which pleased me muchly as I don't get many.
