Many happy returns Cheesyball, hope you've enjoyed your special day.

Pleased for you nannylala et al, that you felt comforted by seeing your BIL, and your sister looking so well after her chemo. Hope it'll all pan out well for all concerned.

Naebirrac, thank you for sharing the gorgeous photos, and for this thread. Well remember the silhouettes on a beach, and a certain, was it, cap? ;)

I know i said i have enough chocolate but .... today i found creme egg 3 packs.(same as scamps managed 165 of) and i couldn't help myself

First pack on self scan came up "there is a problem, wait for assistance"

SA came over and told me it was illegal to sell. I produced a few 1p receipts and said if thats the case then you've broken the law a lot this week with lots of easter chocolate

They said they'd let me have them "this time" :rotfl:

Is it stire specific these kinds of messages? I had mini eggs as. Me to confirm price on SS in one store but another went through fine

Sorry, I meant CoT. I think I recall, CoT, that you replied the same as you've just done when I previously said, months ago, that BOGOFs now came up N/A on the APG. I understood that this was part of the 'fix' after the 3 for 2s glitch last September. I think you questioned me and I then assumed I must have been mistaken about BOGOFs not comparing as you were getting different results. On further shops by myself however, it has become clear to me that BOGOFs at the competitor are only compared to if you mix and match. If you buy two (or four etc.) of the same item, my understanding is this comes up N/A and Sada regards it as "part of a promotion... difficult for MSM to compare".

I'd had no evidence that shows that buying two of the exact same item (and involving no mix and match) compares anymore vs competitor BOGOFs. (I've therefore gone back to asserting that BOGOFs no longer compare on the APG when two of the same item are bought.) My experience, throughout this year - although to be honest I don't really try vs BOGOFs much anymore - has been that 2x same item comes back N/A but 1 of one flavour and one of the other (both being within the competitor's BOGOF) comes back accounting for the BOGOF. I've never had any result other than N/A on 2x the same, since this appeared to have changed after last September. The results I've had from the APG have been consistent on this point (and appear supported by Claire1972's shop comp. vs S).

If you've had a successful comparison on a BOGOF where you've bought the same item twice in A, and therefore have evidence that contradicts what I am now saying, please post the result. Many thanks in advance.

Anyway as to where we have been today

Youngest son handed in his dissertation yesterday and starts his 1st real life grown up job next Tuesday.

He is living on site and today was moving in day so he packed up his car and we also filled our car - 2 loads and we drove the 120 miles up the M6 to his new home. He is in a shared house with 4 other lads in a boathouse in the Lake District

He took a full supply of toiletries and store cupboard food, very mse :)

So having emptied the cars and settled him in we set off for home again back down the M6.

So here we are now full time home alone parents, just us and the cats. The house has been so jam packed with youngest sons uni paperwork, his general clutter and all of his outdoor sport kits, it feels eerily empty, not only of people but also of stuff in general.

OH is feeling really down - I suppose it hits blokes differently, mums are constantly adapting to new situations and challenges and getting ready for whatever the next dilemma is ...

Just reassure him that the space you now have will soon be filled with all manner of goodies and that DS will visit, he'll be fine :)
