I'm not sure about syncing COT. I just plugged one in also attached to the router downstairs, and plugged the other one in and also into the xbox upstairs, and turned both on. I did swap to wired conection on the xbox. He's currently making do with wireless.

    They look like these
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maxx-Digital-MDHP500UK-Super-Speed-Powerline/dp/B00BFT3JL2/ref=sr_1_3?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1368448492&sr=1-3&keywords=maxx+digital

But on the back it says 85M Powerline Adapter, so I'm not sure what speed they are. I think I bought them from Ebay a few years ago.

On the ones the kids have there is a button underneath each one press and hold the one plugged into your router and it should flash then go and press the other one till it starts flashing 5 secs or whatever not very long and then it finds the first or should do.
They work best if plugged into mains sockets rather than extension leads but they do still work in extension leads or so the kids reckon.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hi. Sorry I have been lurking again but my father passed away last Monday which hasn't really sunk in yet and I have my adoption panel tomorrow which I am really nervous about. Thanks to everybody on here for keeping me going I read the posts every night before heading to bed and most nights it helps me sleep, so thank you you have all helped more than you know. I am still very new to all this and don't really get how it works but I'm hoping I can really start to save some money in the future. I love seeing how you all support each other with various troubles and help each other out with money saving also.

Just to say so sorry tp hear about your father and good luck at panel.

    Free insurance? http://www.topcashback.co.uk/west_bromwich_building_society/

£60.60 cashback, payable after 6 months or so. The nice point here is that you can pay MONTHLY by direct debit (with no premium or interest) and cancel whenever you like. So find yourself a policy that costs less than£120 for the 12 months and if you cancel after 6 months when the c/b is paid, you've had free insurance.

What if it does not pay?

Just popping on to say mega thanks to tinyshoes for bigging up the Boots BB cream thread on here :) - wasn't till I saw this and read the later posts on Grabbit yesterday evening that I realised how much the original glitch had developed. Well stocked for my DDs now - thank you :)

Hugely risky, I'd say. Insurance policies are probably the worst for non-payment. Even if it does track OK, many policies charge admin fees to cancel early. That could easily eat into your cashback payment. Would need a very close examination of the T&C's for this to be favourable.
