Santander Flex account

First opened a Flex account under Girobank, which became Alliance and Leicester, which became Santander. Had this account for many years, then closed it a couple of years ago. As part of this, I paid £3 odd every month as insurance. I was told when I was opening the account that this was a mandatory enabler. Any chance of reclaiming?

You paid £36 a year for this insurance. How exactly was it mis-sold to you?0

Was told that it was a requirement for opening and running the account. This though was when it was Girobank and as such was a telephone banking service.0

That's a very weak "hearsay" complaint about a financial arrangement made decades ago. Santander might auto-pay without investigation as the amount is low, but otherwise I doubt you'll get anywhere....bill-from-derby wrote: »Was told that it was a requirement for opening and running the account.0
