Got a tree surgeon to look and it's bein taken down tomorrow :)

He said there's nothing much to worry about WRT the property. Also - it was a cherry tree, not a silver birch! Ha!

    Thanks again all.

Ha, yeah - he was also like "!!!!!!" too.

Given it isn't SILVER, it should have gave it away. In any case, someone told me it was a silver birch so I just called it that :)

Cherry trees are meant to be bad for their roots too, got a big fat trunk too.

I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

It's actually 3m. - but is as big as the house. And no, it's not a bungalow!

    Where do you live, lilliput?:rotfl:

Being serious, the more detail you provide, the less of an issue the tree becomes. However it still needs addressing the roots of a cherry will spread further than the height of the tree, and are always looking to send up sucker growth.

I assumed you would need a tree feller, at 3 mtr, 10 feet tall, (the average house being about 6mtr to the eaves), that easily falls into an area that you could possibly do yourself or a general gardener would do for you.

I no longer think a staged demolition of the tree is needed, just drop it at low level and let nature take it's course.

Was supposed to be lighthearted rather than sarcastic but glad it gave you a laugh this morning.
