    It's a bizarre business model.

Magnet tTrade is effectively the same as Howdens. It's set up to supply a range of kitchens, joinery products, doors etc to trade only. An end user could go in, but would have to get a trade account holder to purchase anything for him. They carry a wide range of stuff including sheet materials, hardware etc.

Magnet Express was introduced to a number of poor performing Magnet Trade outlets. Effectively, they now sell direct to end users, but don't offer a fitting service (as does Magnet Retail). They have a reduced number of kitchens, have reduced their choice of other things such as doors and joinery products. They also no longer offer sheet materials. As a tradesman, Magnet Trade was a decent place to go due to the wide range of products they stocked. Since my local one changed to a Magnet Express, I've stopped going there.
