Cutting Out Middle Men?

I recently started a new business and I am having problems sourcing relaible electrical wholesalers. There are plently of online wholesaler resource directories and none of them are really any good. I was wondering if anyone had details of a similar scheme to the one Argos run re: Auctions for their customer returns online. Any help would be appreciated.
